Images of blades — knives & swords — are created by combining images of hilts, blades, guards, and pommels.
Depicted below are standard components which can be adapted and combined to create the various knives and swords. Older images may have been created from older components which are not depicted here, but recent and future blades should be created from the latest components.
Black components may be used (1) to create elements of blades which are black, or may be used (2) to create masks used to create components which are coloured, e.g. coloured with steel or gold gradients. Consider, for example, the following knife:

The pommel is created from a standard large greyscale image:

The gold pommel in the sample knife was created by using this greyscale image: the image is colour-inverted, then converted to a mask, which is then overlaid by a second image containing a gold-coloured gradient, to produce a large gold pommel, which is then resized to the desired size.
The hilt is created from a standard greyscale image:

The blue hilt in the sample knife was created by using this greyscale image: the image is colour-inverted, then converted to a mask, which is then overlaid by a second image containing the desired blue colour, which directly creates the proper size of the hilt.
The guard in the sample knife was created by using this large image of a gold gradient guard:

The gold guard in the sample knife ws created using this image: the image is simply resized as needed.
The steel blade in the sample knife was created using this large image of a bowie knife‘s blade:

The blade in the sample knife was created using this image: the image is simply resized, then the logo is added to it.
This presents the most recently used images of hilts, blades, guards, and pommels, many shrunk to fit the width of the page.
Many hilts have been created, but these are the most recent.
